Sounds of L.A. John Fumo Originally conceived as 90-second works for Film and Television, this music beckoned to be lengthened into the full versions presented here. Many of the tracks were improvised with Kelly on piano or guitar, and myself on trumpet. Composing this way has always been a passion of mine, and doing it with Kelly is a dream come true. All ten tracks were recorded at: "The Most Comfortable Place in the Universe" studios, Los Angeles, California, between 2000-2002. Attended the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Awarded a National Endowment for the Arts in Jazz Composition which led to his first solo record. Moved to LA in 1979. Currently playing TV, Films and Recordings, along with various live theater and studio work. Teaches Jazz Trumpet at the California Institute of the Arts.
